Something has been sitting in the collective chest for a while now. You probably know the feeling — even if you haven’t had words for it. It’s the low hum of financial anxiety that doesn’t fully switch off, even on a good day. It’s the exhaustion of a body that hasn’t felt like home in longer than you can remember. It’s the quiet, persistent whisper that no matter how much you do, how much you achieve, how much you give — it is never quite enough.
That feeling is not a character flaw. It is not an anxiety disorder. It is not a mindset problem that a morning routine will fix.
It is a wound. And on June 19, 2026, the cosmos turns its full attention toward healing it.
Chiron — The Wound That Becomes the Medicine
If you are not familiar with Chiron, here is what you need to know. Chiron is a minor planet — a comet-asteroid hybrid — known in astrology as the Wounded Healer. In your birth chart, Chiron does not just show you where you are wounded. It shows you the precise territory where your wound, once faced and integrated, becomes your most profound medicine. Your deepest point of pain becomes your deepest point of purpose.
Chiron does not just show the wound. It shows the path.
I covered the mythology and the deeper mechanics of Chiron in detail in my podcast episode Back to the Beginning — if you want the full picture, I’d encourage you to listen here. You can also find all podcast episodes on the Expergotherapy podcast page.
That is what makes this transit so significant — not just astrologically, but for anyone doing genuine healing work right now.
The Chapter That Is Closing — Chiron in Aries (2018–2026)
Since 2018, Chiron has been moving through Aries — and if you look back at the last eight years collectively, the themes are unmistakable.
Identity. The right to exist. The right to take up space. Who belongs and who does not. Bodily autonomy. Individual sovereignty. The question of I am — and whether that is enough on its own.
The movements that defined this period — the conversations around identity, representation, the right to be seen and heard — these are all Aries Chiron territory. Collectively, we have been in a prolonged, often painful reckoning with the most fundamental question a human being can ask: do I have the right to be here, exactly as I am?
That chapter has been necessary. It has been hard. And on June 19, it closes.
What comes next is both older and deeper.
Welcome to Chiron in Taurus — The Worth Wound
Taurus rules the body. It rules resources, money, land, and what sustains life. It rules values — what is truly valuable, what we are willing to fight for. It rules the felt sense of security in the physical world. And perhaps most importantly for the healing conversation — Taurus rules intrinsic worth. Not what you do. Not what you produce. Not what you contribute. Simply what you are.
Chiron moving into Taurus on June 19 begins an eight-year collective journey into the wound that lives underneath almost every pattern I work with in my practice.
I am not enough.
Not smart enough. Not productive enough. Not loveable enough. Not successful enough. Not thin enough, rich enough, healed enough, spiritual enough. The specific flavour varies. The root is always the same.
This wound shows up as worth tied to productivity — the deeply embedded belief that you must earn your right to exist through what you output. It shows up as difficulty receiving — love, money, help, rest, softness — because somewhere along the way you learned that receiving without giving first was dangerous, or selfish, or simply not available to someone like you. It shows up as disconnection from the body — not feeling safe in your own skin, unable to access pleasure or rest without guilt.
It shows up as financial trauma — the scarcity mindset that keeps a grip on the nervous system long after the actual scarcity has passed. The checking of bank balances at 2am. The inability to spend on yourself without immediate guilt. The feeling that abundance is for other people.
If any of this is landing — you are already in Chiron in Taurus territory. You have been for a long time. The difference is that from June 19, the collective is joining you there.
We Have Been Here Before
The last time Chiron moved through Taurus was 1976 to 1983. Anyone born in that window carries this placement natally — they arrived into the world already holding this wound as part of their blueprint.
And the world they were born into? Oil crisis. Stagflation. Unemployment. A collective reckoning with resources, scarcity, and what truly matters. The beginning of the environmental movement — a dawning awareness that the earth itself, Taurus’s most sacred domain, was being wounded by the relentless pursuit of more.
Sound familiar?
We are living through a striking echo of that period right now. Inflation. A cost of living crisis that is reshaping how ordinary people relate to security and survival. Housing unaffordability that has made the most Taurean of needs — a safe, stable physical home — feel out of reach for an entire generation. Financial anxiety at collective levels that are genuinely dysregulating nervous systems on a global scale.
The burnout epidemic — and it is an epidemic, with global costs now estimated at over $322 billion annually in lost productivity alone — is the worth wound made visible. Only 1 in 5 employees worldwide report feeling genuinely engaged in their work. The rest are present in body, absent in everything else. Performing productivity while running on empty. Because they were taught that their value lives in their output, and they have been outputting at full capacity for years without ever asking whether the premise was true.
Here is what I want you to understand: these wounds are not new. They are ancient. The scarcity your grandmother felt, the financial fear your mother carried, the not enough that was woven into the fabric of your family system before you were born — Chiron in Taurus is asking the collective to heal at the root. Not just individually. Generationally.
Your Healing Is Not Just Personal — It Never Was
This is the part I feel most deeply, both as a trauma-informed therapist and as someone who has done this work from the inside. Chiron sits in my own 6th house natally — the house of the body, of daily practice, of service. I know what it is to carry a wound in the territory of worth and embodiment. I know what it costs to ignore it, and I know what becomes possible when you face it.
But here is what the purely clinical conversation about trauma healing sometimes misses: your healing does not happen in isolation. It never did.
I explored this at length in an earlier piece — When the World Feels Heavy: How Global Conflict Affects Your Nervous System and Why Your Healing Matters More Than Ever — and the response told me that this idea lands deeply for a lot of people. I also had the privilege of exploring it further in Episode 2 of the podcast: Collective Trauma — Why Your Healing Matters More Than Ever, alongside guest Candice Anderson, whose perspective on the ripple effect of individual healing into the collective field is genuinely worth your time.
The core truth that emerged from both of those conversations is this: when you do the work to heal your worth wound — when you begin to untangle the belief that you must earn your right to exist, when you learn to receive without guilt, when you come home to your body after years of living above the neck — it ripples. Into your family system. Into your relationships. Into the way you show up in every room you walk into.
The nervous system research supports this. Studies on heart-brain coherence show that when one person in a group achieves a regulated, coherent state, it measurably affects the nervous systems of those around them. We are not separate systems operating in isolation. We are interconnected, and our healing is too.
Think of it like this — and I used this image in the collective trauma piece because it has stayed with me. When you strike a chord on one guitar, the same strings on another guitar across the room begin to vibrate in response. No one touched them. The sound waves travelled through the air and caused a sympathetic resonance. The more unhealed trauma you carry, the more likely you are to resonate with and absorb the frequencies of fear and scarcity that are moving through the collective field right now. And the more you heal — the more you become a regulated, grounded, coherent presence — the more your frequency contributes to stability rather than amplifying the chaos.
Somatic healing — working directly with the body to release stored trauma, to complete the stress cycles that never finished, to expand the window of tolerance so that safety becomes a felt experience rather than just a concept — this is Taurus medicine. Embodiment is Taurus medicine. Learning to receive is Taurus medicine. Redefining your worth outside of your productivity is Taurus medicine.
The work you are doing on yourself right now is not separate from what is happening collectively. You are part of the healing. Every person who chooses to face this wound — rather than manage it, medicate it, or outrun it — is contributing to the collective shift that Chiron in Taurus is calling for over the next eight years.
Your personal healing journey is a collective act. It always has been. Chiron in Taurus is simply making that undeniable.
What This Transit Is Asking of You
Chiron in Taurus is not asking you to have it all figured out by June 19. It is not asking you to suddenly feel worthy, abundant, and at home in your body by the end of the month.
It is asking you to begin. Or to go deeper than you have gone before.
It is asking you to look honestly at where worth tied to productivity is running your life — and costing you your health, your relationships, your capacity for joy. It is asking you to notice where you struggle to receive — and to get curious about what that is protecting you from. It is asking you to come back to your body, not as a project to be optimised, but as a home to be returned to.
It is asking you to question the inherited story — the one that arrived before you had language for it, passed down through generations of people who also never felt like enough — and to consider that it was never actually true.
The wound is real. The story that created it is not.
Chiron does not just show the wound. It shows the path. And for the next eight years, that path runs directly through worth, through the body, through the ancient and deeply human question of what you are allowed to receive simply by virtue of being alive.
The medicine is available. The timing is not coincidental. And you do not have to walk this path alone.
